HIMGA Board meeting

August 8, 2023

The Board meeting for HIMGA was called to order by President Jack Deaton with the following members present: Dave Moon, Ernie Chrisitan, Ed Clark, David Baker, Terry Bushay, and Jack Deaton. The minutes from the July meeting were read. MOTION: by Ed, seconded by Terry, to approve the minutes. Approved.

 Discussion of the memorial headstones: $110 was the last quoted price per stone, while the cost may be closer to $150 now. $258 has been collected so far with $40 paid to the pro shop.

 MOTION: by Terry, seconded, to donate $200 as sponsor of the Elks Tournament. Approved.

 The Match Play tournament is scheduled to start on Friday, August 18, with 21 players signed up. This will be an 8 am tee time on #1. Terry, Jack and Randy will set the bracket on Wednesday.

 Officers are up for re-election: Jack and David. David will research the By-Laws regarding elections and number of Directors.

 Treasurer’s Report. Beginning balance was $8,572.44. With deposits and debits, the balance at the end of July was $4,935.77 with approximately $450 in the credit book. The total would be about $5,400.

 There has been an issue with the credit book with some not having money in their account to cover play for certain days. Jack will remind players about this issue with the next tee announcements. For players who are winners for each event, their credit book account will reflect paying for their arrears as applicable.

 For the Match play Tournament—next match must be played within one week of completion of previous match.

 Being no further business, MOTION: by Terry, seconded by Ernie to adjourn the meeting. Approved.
