HIMGA Check-In/Tuesday Morning Procedures, 2010

HIMGA Tuesday morning check-in procedures have changed for the 2010 season. There is no early sign-in prior to day of play. Specific procedures for Tuesday check-in follow:

  1. Tuesday Morning check-in procedure. The HIMGA tournament staff will now be stationed behind the counter in the main pro-shop. For the 2010 season members will proceed directly to the pro-shop counter and pay the Tuesday playing fee of $5.00 ($4 prize fee and $1 HIMGA Treasury). He will receive his daily play ticket/receipt for $4.00 (the amount of prize money which stays in the pro-shop). The pro-shop attendant will pass a copy of the member’s entry to the HIMGA staff. At this time he will be entered into the day’s event. We will continue this procedure of entering players into the computer until 30 minutes prior to start of league play. Members should make every effort to arrive at the pro-shop not later than 45 minutes prior to scheduled time of league play. Earlier is better. Remember; cut-off of entry is 30 minutes prior to start of play. At approximately 15 minutes prior to tee time, the pairing sheets will be posted and scorecards handed out.  Players briefing will be conducted on the north deck of the pro-shop.
  2. Accountability. Prior to creating pairing sheets and printing score cards, the HIMGA staff will balance the number of 18 and 9-hole entries with the pro-shop’s computer records. This computer balance assures that all paid players are entered into the day’s event and that awarded prize money balances with the pro-shop record

3.      Tuesday Morning Post Play. Following play, team captains will return scorecards to the HIMGA desk. Please sign them. Results are tabulated, handicaps updated (if appropriate), and results turned into proshop for monetary distribution to winning player’s accounts. Results will be posted to the himga.org web site by the next day.

4.       Rationale. These procedures are a refinement of those used in 2009. Changes were incorporated to streamline check-in procedures for the members. In 2010 all entry prize money will be awarded to member’s accounts in the pro-shop. There will be no twice-annual distribution of cash money.

5.      Administrative. At the conclusion of Tuesday’s play, the HIMGA treasurer will collect $1.00 for each paid entrant from the pro-shop. This money will be deposited into the HIMGA general fund account. This action should be accomplished within 24 hours.
